Beginning Production

Happy Easter! Christ is risen, indeed!

Well, I've got time while Erwin is napping, so I thought I'd update on my book's progress. Production has begun! I received an email saying they have begun to do the copy editing part of the production. This is the technical editing of the book. During this part of the process, they will scrutinize the manuscript for grammatical errors and spelling errors. This will take a month.

I'll receive another email the beginning of May and we'll start with the content editing part of the process. This will be where I get to work with the editors on plot and character development.

The next steps will include layout and cover design as well as marketing. The whole process from beginning to shelves will take about 11 months. So, by March 2011, my book should be ready to sell!

I won't have anything else to write until May, so I'll update you all then! Happy spring!
